Preview status and stability

The Anvil SDK is in partner preview. This page covers what you can build on today, what may still change, and how to get help.

What partner preview means

Access is by request: during the preview, Anvil sets up each partner directly. Get access explains how.

What you can build on today

The SDK’s compatibility contract covers:

  • Core actions (@anvil/sdk/core). Each module on an AnvilSDK instance (sdk.loc, sdk.vault, and so on) validates parameters, builds a workflow, then executes it. This entry runs in the browser and in Node, with no React in its module graph.
  • The React provider and hooks (@anvil/sdk/react), for React 18.2+ and React 19 hosts.

What may change

The exported React components are beta. Components such as CreateLOCFlow carry @beta in their TSDoc, and their props and presentation can change between releases. They power Add a create-LOC form.

Two changes are planned, without a committed date:

  • The root entry becomes React-free. Today @anvil/sdk also exports the React surface, so it needs react and react-dom even for core-only use. Afterward, the React surface lives only at @anvil/sdk/react.
  • The package publishes to npmjs.org.

Getting help

Reach out to the Anvil team through the contact form, or ask in the #dev-chat channel on Discord.

A report the team can act on quickly includes:

  • the SDK version and the entry you imported from;
  • the profile you ran against, such as testnetProfile or mainnetProfile;
  • the error exactly as reported, including any issue code or error name;
  • the transaction hash or LOC ID, if the operation got that far.
